Overview

Anthony R. Johnson is a Senior Associate with Goldberg Simpson. His practice primarily includes tort litigation and insurance defense, professional licensure defense, commercial and business litigation, general civil litigation, administrative law, and corporate governance.

Anthony is from Oldham County, Kentucky, and received his B.A. in Health Sciences, cum laude, from the University of Kentucky. Thereafter, Anthony earned his J.D. and graduated cum laude from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.

Anthony has been published and featured in the Kentucky Trial Court Review – Silver 25th Edition, The Common Defense (Spring/Summer Edition 2022) by Kentucky Defense Counsel, Inc., and Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2024 list.

He is currently the Co-Chairperson of the Kentucky Defense Counsel Philanthropy Committee, as well as a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Louisville Bar Association. Anthony also serves as a Board Member for the Hope Health Clinic, a non-profit dedicated to providing low-cost healthcare to those in need.

Outside of the office, Anthony enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Madison, and dogs, Zoe and Gracie.

The Insurance Law Defense Group concentrates efforts on Tort Defense, Claims Defense, and Coverage Analysis and Litigation. It also has extensive experience in claims litigation and settlement — specifically in mediating and litigating motor vehicle, premises, product, food and restaurant, trucking, transportation, industrial, construction, environmental, and other general liability claims. The Business Litigation practice area which provides all manner of legal representation in business disputes, including shareholder relationship disputes, partnership disputes and other dispute resolution in Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, Bowling Green and Owensboro, Kentucky, as well as in all Kentucky cities. This area has represented companies with respect to civil and criminal anti-trust investigations on both the state and federal levels.
