Alexander B. Wagner
Associate

Overview

Alexander B. Wagner is an Associate Attorney with Goldberg Simpson. He represents clients in commercial and business litigation, employment disputes, and tort and civil defense matters. His practice includes complex contract litigation, real estate and property disputes, internal business conflicts between partners and LLC members, and franchiser–franchisee matters. Alexander also handles employment‑related claims involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and advises employers on drafting, interpreting, and enforcing employment agreements and restrictive covenants. In addition to his litigation work, Alexander has experience in arbitration, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, helping clients navigate disputes efficiently and strategically.

Before joining Goldberg Simpson, Alexander gained experience in construction and real estate law, contract disputes, civil defense, and tort matters. Prior to attending law school, he worked in finance and investment management, developing a practical understanding of business operations, risk assessment, and economic decision‑making. His military service as an infantry paratrooper in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, 2‑508 Parachute Infantry Regiment, further shaped his discipline, leadership, and ability to perform under pressure. Together, these experiences built a foundation in sound judgment, disciplined analysis, and a practical, client‑focused approach to resolving disputes that informs his current practice.

Alexander is from Louisville, Kentucky. He earned both his B.S. in Business Management and B.S. in Marketing from the University of Kentucky and his Juris Doctor from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.

Alexander is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Louisville Bar Association. He also is admitted to the U.S. District Court Western District of Kentucky and U.S. District Court Eastern District of Kentucky.

Outside the firm, Alexander enjoys spending time with his wife and children, being outdoors, lifting, and working on home improvement projects.
