Joseph A. Mayhorn is an Associate with Goldberg Simpson whose practice area focuses on family law. A lifetime Kentuckian, Mr. Mayhorn obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Morehead State University in 2007. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kent School of Social Work in 2011, and he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2012.
Mr. Mayhorn’s practice centers on family law issues including divorce, child custody, child abuse, child neglect, domestic violence, and child support. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Mayhorn worked for several years as a child and family therapist. This educational and experiential background has provided him with a unique understanding of the needs of families as they navigate the legal system.
Mr. Mayhorn was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in May 2015, and he is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association. When not working, he enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time at Cave Run Lake.
