Mike A. Schay is an Associate with Goldberg Simpson. His focus includes, tort litigation and defense, general civil litigation, and employment litigation. He also specializes in complex trucking litigation for insurance clients.

A graduate of Georgia College and State University, Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2007. He earned his law degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2019. While a student at the University of Louisville, he was selected for the Journal of Law and Education and served as Subject Matter Editor.

Following law school, Mike worked as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit as well as a general practitioner. When he is not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and gaming.

Goldberg Simpson’s Insurance Practice Group concentrates its efforts on Tort Defense, Claims Defense, and Coverage Analysis and Litigation. The members of the group have extensive experience in claims litigation and settlement, including significant familiarity in mediating and litigating motor vehicle, premises, products, food and restaurant, trucking, transportation, industrial, construction, environmental, and other general liability claims. In addition, the members of the group are experienced in the analysis and litigation of both coverage and bad faith issues in Kentucky.
